SHABBAT AND HOLIDAYS AT THE TZEDEK SCHOOL
Learning Together: Passover Seder
The Tzedek School is dedicated to empowering students to explore every avenue of Jewish expression, from hands-on charitable work to community activism to Jewish ritual participation. Although the Tzedek School is not a synagogue, in order to encourage students to experiment with the skills and ideas they aquire at school within a community of like-minded members, the Tzedek School offers a number of Shabbat and Holiday celebrations during the year. These celebrations are open to all members of the Tzedek School Community and their friends. Our celebrations will include traditional songs from the Siddur (prayerbook) as well as music, poetry and learning, all in a child centered, communal atmosphere. All members will be encouraged to participate at their level of comfort, from leading prayers to sharing stories to conducting activities for the children and discussions for the adults. The only requirements and expectations are an open-mind, a sharing heart and a commitment to the Jewish people as the safekeepers of Judaism's moral injunction to seek justice for ourselves and for others. PLEASE SEE THE SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR A LIST OF SHABBAT AND HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS.
